Marche de Provence - a place inspired by South France and it's picturesque villiges, located in the heart of Vilnius oldtown. Our strengths are food and an impressive green courtyard very popular with locals during the summer where you can hide away from the bustle of the streets and get into the mood of the French: patterned tablecloth, creepers, many small details of the interior with a view of the Old Town towers overhead.
Marche de Provence gourmet dishes are served in an original fashion. For example, a dessert, creme brule ala Marche is served in egg shells and egg tray and snails escargot "crawl" through the garden. The restaurant's menu has regular dishes, but part of the menu changes daily depending on the season and available local produce: be it mushrooms, fresh asparagus or game during the hunting season.
In Marche de Provence "labaratory" called "LA Buffet" we organize tasting dinners. This is all the gastronomic extravaganza, where owner Arūnas together with chef Linas Barysas themselves produce, present and serve meals in an open kitchen during a six-course tasting menu. There are only 22 seats available so it is necessary to book in advance (please see www.labuffet.lt).
